Continuing its drive against persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Awantipora Police arrested 03 persons & seized 03 vehicles.
Police party from Police Station Pampore headed by SHO PS Pampore Inspector Naieem Rashid have arrested 03 persons namely Showkat Ahmad Sofi s/o Ab Rehman Sofi R/O Sambar Bugh Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat S/o Ab Ahad Bhat R/O Sambar Bugh Budgam and Waseem Raja S/o Ab Rehman Marazi R/O Pandrathen Srinagar and seized three vehicles (Tipper) Jk13A-7860, Jk04A-7211 and JK01E-8922 involved in illegal extraction of mineral in Pampore.

Accordingly, case vide FIR NO. 14/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law.
