Srinagar, Feb 20: Traffic movement on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) has been halted from both ends due to heavy snowfall and slippery road conditions between Banihal and Ramsoo, officials said.

Authorities have advised commuters to avoid traveling on the highway until the weather improves and the road is cleared for safe passage. Restoration efforts are underway, but continued snowfall poses challenges for road maintenance teams.

"Travelers are urged to stay updated with official traffic advisories before planning their journey. The administration is closely monitoring the situation and working to ensure the earliest possible resumption of vehicular movement," The official said.
