SKUAST-K Team Assesses Garlic Crop Disease in Pampore Villages

Pampore, March 20: Acting promptly on reports of a disease affecting garlic crops, a team from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) visited the Shar Shali and Patalbagh villages of Pampore Tehsil on Thursday.

Following the directions of Director Extension SKUAST-K, Rihana Habib, a specialized team comprising plant pathologists and vegetable experts assessed the affected areas. During the visit, they interacted with the farmers, collected garlic samples for detailed analysis, and thoroughly examined the extent of the disease.

The experts advised the farmers on immediate preventive measures and recommended specific spraying techniques to mitigate the spread of the disease and protect the crops.
