Kokernag Breaks All-Time April Temperature Record; Srinagar Logs 2nd Highest in 79 Years

SRINAGAR, APRIL 30: Jammu and Kashmir continues to experience unusually high temperatures for the month of April, with Kokernag recording its hottest April day ever on Wednesday.

According to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar, Kukernag registered a maximum temperature of 29.1°C on April 30, 2025 — breaking its previous all-time April record of 28.3°C, set on the same date in 2007.

Meanwhile, Srinagar city recorded a maximum temperature of 30.9°C, marking it as the second-highest temperature ever recorded in April. The all-time April high for Srinagar remains 31.1°C, recorded on April 20, 1946.
