Pulwama, July 14:
The tragic road accident that occurred earlier today on National Highway-44 at Dangerpora Padgampora in Awantipora has taken a more devastating turn, as two more critically injured persons have succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll to three.
Reports reaching Sachnews Jammu Kashmir, the accident involved an Alto K10 car (registration number JK18B-5329) and resulted in the on-spot death of Roaf Gull (25), son of Gull Mohammad Lone, a resident of Kulgam.
Three other individuals were critically injured in the mishap and were initially shifted to PHC Awantipora, later referred to Srinagar hospital for further treatment.
Two of the injured — Ajaz Ahmad Lone, son of Gull Mohammad Lone, a resident of Dardgund, Kulgam, and Ab Rashid Shergujree, son of Gh Hassan, a resident of Banh Desver, Kulgam — later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
The fourth individual, Showkat Ahmad Lone, also from Dardgund, Kulgam, continues to remain under critical care.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.
