Drone, UAV Flying Banned in Anantnag Without Permission

Anantnag, September 20: Authorities in Anantnag have imposed a strict ban on the use of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) without prior approval from the competent authority, citing prevailing security concerns.

Officials said the restriction applies to individuals, institutions, media personnel, and event organizers who intend to operate drones or similar aerial devices in the district. Prior permission must be sought well in advance to avoid violations.

Police have cautioned that any unauthorized flying will attract strict legal action, with the equipment liable to seizure. Citizens have also been urged to remain alert and promptly report any suspicious drone activity to the nearest police station or on the district helpline numbers: 9419051940 or 01932-222870.
