Kulgam, Sept 08: An encounter broke out on Monday morning between security forces and militants in the Guddar forest area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Reports reaching Sachnews Jammu Kashmir, the gunfight began after a joint team of the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG), the Army, and the CRPF launched a search operation in the area following specific intelligence inputs about militant presence.
Heavy exchange of fire was reported, and the operation was underway till last reports came in.
