Kulgam, September 08:
Two Army personnel have succumbed during an anti-terror operation in the Gudder area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district, while security forces have confirmed that two terrorists were also killed in the encounter. The soldiers have been identified as Subedar Perbhat Gaur and Lance Naik Narender Sindhu.
Reports reaching Sachnews Jammu Kashmir, the operation was launched after intelligence inputs about terrorist presence in the forest area. Heavy exchange of fire ensued, during which the two personnel sustained injuries and later succumbed. Two terrorists were killed in the encounter.
A cordon remains in place as the search operation continues in the area.
Meanwhile, Chinar Corps of Indian Army, in a post on X, said:
