SRINAGAR, December 21:
In order to assess the prevailing status of Zojila axis of SSG road SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir Ravender Pal Singh on Saturday paid a visit upto Zero Zojila. During the visit the officer took stock of existing Traffic arrangements along SSG road and conducted briefing sessions with Traffic officials deployed along said road.
The officer also conducted meeting with Traffic officers and directed them to ensure movement of vehicular traffic through sensitive Zojila axis strictly in accordance with the laid down traffic advisory and as per prescribed cut off timings, SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir told Sachnews.
The officer also directed the officers to ensure that no vehicle without proper safety gears or without proper documents is allowed towards Zojila. Moreover, the officer along with team of officers conducted a special enforcement drive at Kangan in which a good number of challans against motorists who were found violating different traffic laws have been executed. Visible violations were specifically targeted, motorists who were found plying without wearing safety gears have been particularly targeted. Traffic Rural Kashmir Ravender Pal Singh is committed to continue such enforcement drives till desired results viz road accidents are minimized.
