Srinagar, April 3, 2025: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has approved an enhancement in pension amounts under the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) and the Integrated Social Security Scheme (ISSS). This decision, which supersedes all previous orders on the subject, aims to provide greater financial assistance to elderly individuals, widows, persons with disabilities, and transgender beneficiaries.
The revised pension structure, effective April 1, 2025, will be as follows:

Beneficiaries below 60 years: ₹1,250 per month

Beneficiaries aged 60 to 79 years: ₹1,500 per month

Beneficiaries aged 80 years and above: ₹2,000 per month.
The enhancement applies to Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, and Disability Pension under NSAP, and to Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Disability Pension, and Transgender Pension under ISSS.
Conditions for Disbursement

The pension shall be provided only to approved beneficiaries, in accordance with the scheme guidelines issued by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India for NSAP and Government of J&K regulations (G.O No. 156-JK(SWD) of 2022, dated 08-09-2022).

Pensioners will be shifted to the next eligible age group from the month they attain the prescribed age. However, the enhanced pension amount will be disbursed from the following month after entering the new age bracket.
