Encounter Starts in Udhampur’s Ramnagar; 2–3 Terrorists Believed Trapped

Udhampur, April 9:
An encounter broke out on Wednesday between security forces and terrorists in the Jopher village of Ramnagar area in Udhampur district.

Official sources told Sachnews Jammu Kashmir, a joint search operation was launched by the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) along with other security forces following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, contact was established with the terrorists.

Initial reports suggest that 2 to 3 terrorists are believed to be trapped, and an exchange of fire is currently underway. Security forces have cordoned off the area, and efforts are being made to neutralize the terrorists.
