Anantnag, Oct 26:
Accusing the previous regime of neglecting Anantnag town in terms of basic amenities, Senior National Conference (NC) leader and District Vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, said it is disheartening to see residents suffering due to the lack of essential facilities such as water supply, electricity, and road connectivity.
Shah said that the previous government, instead of addressing public grievances, prioritized personal gains and comforts. He alleged that the PDP failed to deliver on its promises and instead indulged in nepotism and corruption.
“The harsh reality is that the PDP’s so-called self-rule was meant only for its own family, while their slogans were merely to hoodwink the innocent public,” Shah stated.
During his tour of Sarnal Bala, Shah observed acute shortages of essential supplies and expressed surprise that no serious efforts had yet been made to address the residents’ long-pending issues.
He urged the administration to take immediate steps to repair inner roads and lanes, and to ensure an adequate supply of drinking water and electricity. Shah assured the locals that their grievances would soon be resolved, emphasizing that the National Conference is committed to providing basic facilities to the public and ensuring opportunities for all to live with dignity and honour.
He further assured that the government would fulfill all promises made to the people.
