Ahead of Eid-ul-Adha festival, a Police-Community meeting was organized at Police Station Doda, which was chaired by, Sh. Sandeep Mehta -JKPS, SSP Doda. The meeting was organized by SHO PS Doda, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday. The meeting was aimed at instilling confidence among the locals about the security arrangements and also to brief them about the emerging situations.
The meeting was attended by prominent persons of the area, including Ex-Sarpanches, Panches, Numberdars, Chowkidars, Imams, Pujaris, and other respectables of the area falling under the jurisdiction of PS Doda. During the session, several public concerns were raised and deliberated upon. Special emphasis was laid on the preparations for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha festival.
In a heartwarming gesture symbolizing communal harmony, members of the Hindu community extended advance Eid Mubarak greetings to their Muslim brethren. This exchange underscored the enduring spirit of mutual respect and unity among the various communities.
Addressing the gathering, SSP Doda emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, brotherhood, and unity among all communities Hindu, Muslim, and Sikh, especially during the festive season. The public was urged to stay vigilant against any miscreant elements attempting to disturb the peace and was instructed to immediately inform the nearest police post in case of any suspicious activities or potential communal tension.
Furthermore, the menace of drug trafficking was also discussed. The attendees were sensitized to its harmful impact on society and were encouraged to spread awareness in their native villages to collectively combat this growing threat.
The meeting concluded in a peaceful and constructive atmosphere, reinforcing the bond of cooperation between the police and the public.
