Ganderbal, July 22: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today visited the residence of the woman who was allegedly raped and murdered in Safapora last week.
Speaking to reporters during his visit, Omar Abdullah condemned the incident and assured the family that justice would be delivered.
"The police have taken action and a case has been registered. We stand by the family and are committed to ensuring justice," he said as per Sachnews Jammu Kashmir.
Abdullah also highlighted the urgent need to support the family, particularly their eldest son, who is unable to walk due to a spinal injury. "The family has sought assistance from the government, and we will do everything within our capacity to help them. A formal request for aid has been made, and we are working to ensure that the necessary support is extended," he added.
