Directorate of Health Services Kashmir Orders Transfer of 31 Doctors

Srinagar, August 2: The Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of 31 doctors from various hospitals and healthcare centres in the valley.

The order, issued by Dr. Bakshi Jehangir, Director of Health Services Kashmir, cites the interest of administration and patient care as the rationale behind the move. The list of transferred medical personnel includes consultants and medical officers from diverse specialties such as ENT, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, Paediatrics, Anaesthesia, and General Medicine.

Below are the details of the transferred doctors in the order as listed:

1. Dr. Irfan-ul-Shamas, Consultant (ENT), transferred from District Hospital (DH) Pulwama to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Chadoora.

2. Dr. Ashiq Hussain, Consultant (MCh Urology), from DH Pulwama to DH Kulgam.

3. Dr. Anjum Tahseen, Consultant (Gynaecology), from DH Pulwama to Emergency Hospital (EH) Qazigund.

4. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, In-Charge Consultant (Surgery), from DH Pulwama to SDH Bijbehara.

5. Dr. Muhammad Asif Jan, Medical Officer (MD Medicine), from DH Pulwama to EH Qazigund.

6. Dr. Muhammad Ayub Bhat, In-Charge Consultant (Surgery), from DH Pulwama to Community Health Centre (CHC) Keller.

7. Dr. Gulzar Kuchay, In-Charge Consultant (Orthopaedics), from DH Pulwama to EH Qazigund.

8. Dr. Sameena Gani, Medical Officer (MBBS), from DH Pulwama to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Dadsara.

9. Dr. Nadiya Yousuf, Medical Officer (MD Gynaecology), from DH Pulwama to EH Qazigund.

10. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Dar, Medical Officer (MBBS), from EH Qazigund to PHC Delina.

11. Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Wani, Consultant (ENT), from EH Qazigund to DH Pulwama.

12. Dr. Shahnawaz Manzoor, Medical Officer (MS Surgery), from EH Qazigund to DH Pulwama.

13. Dr. Shazia Majeed, Medical Officer (MD Gynaecology), from EH Qazigund to SDH Nagam.

14. Dr. Syed Neelofar Jan, Consultant (Gynaecology), from EH Qazigund to DH Pulwama.

15. Dr. Shuja Rashid, Medical Officer (MS Ortho), from EH Qazigund to DH Pulwama.

16. Dr. Riyaz Ahmad Dagga, Medical Officer (MD Medicine), from Block Khan Saheb to CHC Rajpora.

17. Dr. Abid Saleem, Consultant (MCh Plastic Surgery), from CHC Keller to DH Pulwama.

18. Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Wani, Consultant (DM Cardiology), from CHC Rajpora to DH Kulgam.

19. Dr. Manzoor A. Dar, Medical Officer (MCh Urology), from Block Qazigund (currently at DH Kulgam) to DH Pulwama.

20. Dr. Syed Taskeen Rasool, Medical Officer (MD Gynaecology), from NTPHC Chewdara to DH Pulwama.

21. Dr. Abdul Qayoom Rather, Medical Officer (MD Medicine), from PHC Dadsara to DH Pulwama.

22. Dr. Shazia Rasheed, Medical Officer (MD Gynaecology), from PHC Delina to DH Pulwama.

23. Dr. Mohd Ishaq Mir, Medical Officer (MS Surgery), from DH Pulwama to EH Qazigund.

24. Dr. Tufail Ahmad Dass, Consultant (Surgery), from SDH Bijbehara to DH Pulwama.

25. Dr. Gulshan Akhter, Consultant (MD Gynaecology), from Trauma Hospital Bijbehara to SDH Dooru

26. Dr. Afshan Qadir, Consultant (MD Gynaecology), from SDH Chadoora to Trauma Hospital Bijbehara.

27. Dr. Bashir Ahmad Challoo, Consultant (MD Gynaecology), from SDH Dooru to SDH Chadoora.

28. Dr. Shazia Qadir, Medical Officer (MD Gynaecology), from SDH Yaripora to EH Qazigund.

29. Dr. Zubair Ahmad Wani, Consultant (MD Paediatrics), from SDH Yaripora to SDH DH Pora.

30. Dr. Zahoor Ah Bhat, Medical Officer (MD Anaesthesia), from NTPHC GB Khalil to SDH DH Pora.

31. Dr. Imran Malik, Medical Officer (MD Paediatrics), who was previously awaiting posting, has now been assigned to SDH Yaripora.

The directive further mandates that all transferred doctors are “deemed to have been relieved” from their current stations and must report to their new places of posting without fail. CMOs (Chief Medical Officers) have been instructed to ensure compliance and submit joining reports to the Directorate by 4th August 2025, 1:00 PM.
