ANANTNAG, August 07:
Calling for the early rehabilitation of the Mehandi Kadal Sumo & Taxi Stand No. 1 to a suitable and accessible location within Anantnag town, Shah emphasized the need to safeguard the livelihoods of drivers affected by the relocation. He urged the District Administration to ensure that traffic within the town remains smooth and congestion-free.
While lauding the efforts of the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag for working toward a jam-free city, Shah noted that such initiatives are commendable. However, he stressed the importance of considering the long-standing registration and operational history of the Sumo Stand.
Shah cautioned that any decisions influenced by political pressure or favoritism could aggravate the situation, asserting that all stakeholders must be treated equally and fairly under the law.
