In a prompt and coordinated effort, Anantnag Police carried out a successful rescue operation in the Aang Anzwalla area, where around 25 nomadic families were stranded due to a sudden rise in water level in the Lidder Nalla.
Upon receiving information about the situation, a rescue team led by Do General Bus Stand was immediately dispatched to the location. Braving challenging weather conditions, the police personnel, with the support of local administration and volunteers, managed to safely evacuate all affected individuals and relocate them to safer locations.
The rescued families have been provided with immediate relief, including food, shelter, and medical assistance. The situation is being closely monitored, and further support will be extended as required.
