Awantipora Police arrests 02 drug peddlers in Pampore; Charas Powder Recovered

Awantipora, October 14:

 Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Awantipora Police have arrested 02 drug peddlers from Pampore area and recovered contraband substances  from their possession. 

During naka checking at Tulbagh Pampore, Police party of Police Station Pampore headed by SHO PS Pampore Inspector Khalid Fayaz apprehended  02 drug peddlers identified as Tabish Rafiq Bhat son of Mohammad Rafiq Bhat, resident of Namblabal Pampore and  Tariq Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh, resident of Tulbagh Pampore, Police officials said in a press statement issued to Sachnews.

The arrested persons were moving in a suspicious circumstances  and during search, officers were able to recover 80 grams  of Charas Powder like substance from their possession.

The arrested drug peddlers have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody. 

Case FIR Number 104/ 2025 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
