December, 28 2024: Kulgam Police, in a display of prompt action, compassion, dedication and commitment to public service, responded to two separate distress calls amidst heavy snowfall and slippery road in the region.
In the first instance, a distress call from Chirhama Mirbazar was received, stating that one lady suffering from Chronic diabetes needs immediate medical attention is stucked as family members are unable to take her to hospital at their own because of incessant snowfall and slippery road. Braving adverse weather conditions, a team of Kulgam police led by IC PP Mirbazar transported the lady patient to nearby hospital, where she received the necessary treatment.
Meanwhile, another distress call was received from the tourists stranded on NHW near Khudwani Qaimoh, promptly a team headed by SHO police station Qaimoh reached the spot and provided necessary assistance including food etc and thereof the tourists were shifted safely towards their destination.
The timely intervention underscore Kulgam Police's unwavering dedication to serving the community, even in challenging circumstances. Kulgam Police urges the public to exercise caution during severe weather conditions and to reach out in emergencies for assistance.
