MVD Kulgam Organizes Road Safety Awareness Camp with SDRF Demonstrations on National Drivers' Day

Kulgam, January 24, 2025: 

As part of National Road Safety Month 2025, the Motor Vehicles Department Kulgam held an awareness camp on road safety, coinciding with National Drivers' Day.

 The event featured live safety demonstrations conducted by the State Disaster Response Force Kulgam, aimed at educating drivers and the public on essential road safety practices and emergency response techniques.The camp highlighted the importance of adhering to traffic rules, the use of safety gear, and responsible driving behavior to minimize accidents.

 Officials also distributed informational pamphlets and interacted with attendees to address road safety concerns. The initiative underscores MVD Kulgam's commitment to fostering a culture of safety on the roads.In addition to it, MVD Squad also led an awareness Camp for two wheeler drivers with wearing of helmet to both driver and pillion for safety.Awareness was also provided among private vehicle owners by the ARTO Kulgam Dr Showkat Ahmad Bhat JKAS, focusing on the importance of routine vehicle maintenance, seatbelt usage, and compliance with speed limits to ensure their safety and that of others on the road.

 Attendees were educated about the risks of distracted and drunk driving and were encouraged to adopt safe and responsible driving habits.The event also highlighted the vital role of drivers in ensuring road safety, as the country marked National Drivers' Day. 

 Drivers were recognized as the backbone of the transportation system, and their contributions to society were celebrated. MVD Officials also emphasized the need for skill development, regular training, and health check-ups for drivers to enhance their efficiency and safety on the roads.
