PULWAMA, December 27: In a major step towards combating drug abuse and dismantling illicit drug networks, Pulwama Police have attached a residential property worth lakhs belonging to Tariq Ahmad Bhat, S/O Ali Mohammad Bhat, R/O Trichal Pulwama, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The attached property, a residential house, was found to be linked to the accused’s involvement in drug peddling activities. Tariq Ahmad Bhat has been implicated in Case FIR No. 296/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act and Case FIR No. 120/2024 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act of Police Station Pulwama.
This action represents a significant move in Pulwama Police’s ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking operations and confiscate assets acquired through illegal narcotics activities. By targeting the financial foundations of drug networks, Pulwama Police aim to curb the spread of this menace in society.
