Awantipora, January 30: Continuing its drive against persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police in Awantipora seized 05 vehicles.
A Police party from Police Station Pampore headed by SHO PS Pampore and SHO PS Khrew have seized five vehicles tippers JK04A-7116, JK04B-8030, JK03B-4325, JK04-9964 and JK19-0689 involved in illegal transportation of mineral in Pampore and Khrew.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered and investigations have been initiated.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law, police said in statement.
