Srinagar, March 14: The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) has ordered an inquiry into the alleged negligence at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Chadoora, Budgam, following a video circulating on social media on March 14, 2025.
A three-member committee has been constituted to investigate the matter thoroughly. The inquiry team comprises:
- Dr. Jehanziab Tanki – Deputy Director Health Services (Chairman)
- Dr. Mohd Iqbal Bhat – Principal, RIH&FW Dhobiwan (Member)
- Dr. Shafqat Nazir – Zonal Medical Officer, SR Gunj Srinagar (Member)
The committee will conduct an in-depth analysis, including a review of electronic records, CCTV footage, duty rosters, and statements from patients and staff to establish the facts, determine accountability, and recommend necessary action.
Furthermore, the inquiry panel will examine whether the video was deliberately manipulated or staged to defame the government hospital, as similar incidents were reported earlier at SDH Bijbehara and CHC Pattan. If found to be an orchestrated attempt, legal action will be recommended against those responsible.
The inquiry report is expected to be submitted by 4:00 PM on March 15, 2025. DHSK reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards and ensuring accountability at all levels.
