Jammu, March 12:
In a significant breakthrough, the Emergency Support Unit (ESU) of SP Rural Office Jammu has successfully recovered 51 missing mobile phones reported lost across various police stations and posts in the rural zone of Jammu. The estimated total value of the recovered devices is between ₹10 lakh to ₹10.5 lakh.
The recovery was made under the close supervision of SP Rural Jammu, Sh. Brijesh Sharma (JKPS), after the missing reports were forwarded to the ESU by concerned SHOs and In-Charges of Police Posts. The dedicated efforts of the ESU team led to the successful tracing of these devices across different districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
A press conference was held where the recovered mobile phones were handed over to their rightful owners. The recipients expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the Jammu Police for their swift and diligent action. Among them, an especially emotional moment unfolded when a grieving mother received the phone of her late daughter, bringing tears to her eyes and deeply moving everyone present.
Jammu Police reaffirmed their commitment to public service and urged citizens to promptly report lost or stolen mobile phones to facilitate quick recovery. The department assured that such initiatives will continue to ensure public trust and safety.
