ANANTNAG, MARCH 29: Food Safety Department Anantnag raided a godown in the Chee area and seized 2172 kilograms of deteriorated dates belonging to various brands, officials said.
The estimated market value of the seized stock is Rs. 1,300,000.
Assistant Director of Food Safety, Sheikh Zameer, told Sachnews that the action was initiated following a complaint regarding the sale of deteriorated dates.
He confirmed that the department had seized the stock and collected enforcement samples for further analysis. "These samples will be sent to an NABL-accredited laboratory to determine the exact quality and safety of the dates," Sheikh Zameer stated.
