Kishtwar, April 11:
An encounter that began on April 9 in the dense forest area of Chhatru in Kishtwar district is still ongoing, with one terrorist neutralised so far. The operation, launched jointly by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, entered its third day on Friday.
Speaking to the media, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, DKR Range, Shridhar Patil as per Sachnews Jammu Kashmir said, "One terrorist was neutralised during the early morning hours. We can confirm that a few more terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area. The operation is in continuation and will proceed until all terrorists are neutralised,”Patil stated.
He further added that due to the sensitivity of the situation and ongoing operations, certain operational details cannot be shared at this point. However, a comprehensive briefing will be provided once the encounter concludes.
