Miscreants Chop Down Dozens of Apple Trees in Gund Jahangir, Bandipora; Nearly 20 Families Affected

Bandipora, June 2: A shocking act of vandalism in Gund Jahangir village of Hajin area in North Kashmir's Bandipora district, has left around 20 families devastated after unidentified miscreants chopped down dozens of apple trees during the night.

Expressing deep concern over the incident, Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari termed the act as "heinous" and called for the immediate identification and apprehension of those involved. He stressed the need for exemplary punishment under the law to deter such malicious acts in the future.

“I have been informed that this heinous act has left nearly 20 families—the owners of the targeted orchards devastated,” Bukhari said. He emphasized that the shocking incident demands urgent attention and action from law enforcement agencies.

Expressing solidarity with the affected families, Bukhari extended his deepest sympathies and urged the administration to ensure justice is delivered swiftly.
