MLA Pampore Hasnain Masoodi Lauds SMHS Srinagar Administration, Medical Staff for Timely Treatment of Khrew Chemical Leak Victims

PAMPORE, July 29:

MLA Pampore, Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, expressed gratitude to the staff and administration of SMHS Hospital Srinagar for the prompt and effective treatment of students affected by a chemical leak incident at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Khrew in Pampore area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Speaking to Sachnews, Masoodi praised the SMHS staff on duty and the hospital administration for providing a separate ward for the 15 students referred to the tertiary care facility from Primary Health Centre (PHC) Khrew and Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Pampore.

“The efforts of the hospital staff are commendable and deserve appreciation,” he said, adding that the swift response by the doctors and medical staff at SDH Pampore was also noteworthy.

On Monday, 31 students at GGHSS Khrew, Pampore, suffered suffocation due to a chemical leak inside the laboratory during a science experiment. The affected students were immediately shifted to PHC Khrew, where doctors confirmed that all were in stable condition.
