Pulwama, July 27: One person lost his life and another sustained injuries in a road accident that took place on the Galander-Pulwama road near Ashram Samboora on Sunday.
Reports reaching Sachnews Jammu Kashmir said that the incident took place when a motorcycle without a registration number collided with a Tavera vehicle (registration number JK13C/0151) driven by Shabir Ahmad Dar, son of Assadullah Dar, resident of Below, Pulwama.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist identified as Burhan Ahmad Akhoon, son of Ishtiyaq Ahmad Akhoon, a resident of Tulbagh died on the spot.
The pillion rider, Sahil Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh, a resident of Tanchibagh, sustained injuries and was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Pampore for treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and have started investigation.
