Two J&K Police Sub-Inspectors Die, One Injured in Srinagar Road Accident

Srinagar, August 11: Two Sub-Inspectors of the Jammu and Kashmir Police were killed and another injured in a road accident at Tengun Bypass, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowgam, Srinagar, during the intervening night of August 10 and 11.

Reports reaching Sachnews Jammu Kashmir that a Kia vehicle (Registration No. JK21H-1919) met with the accident, injuring three Sub-Inspectors — Sachin Verma of 23 Bn IRP, presently posted at Pantha Chowk (SANJY-2025 duty); Shubham Sait of 21 Bn IRP, presently posted at Awantipora (SANJY-2025 duty); and Mastan Singh of 23 Bn IRP, presently posted at Railway Station Awantipora.

The injured officers were shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, where Sachin Verma and Shubham Sait were declared brought dead.

The bodies have been kept at Police Hospital Kashmir for medico-legal formalities and further disposal.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
