In a major crackdown on criminal activities, Jammu Police apprehended two gangsters and seized illegal arms and ammunition during a naka checking operation in Miran Sahib.
Team of Jammu Police,led by PSI Arjun Singh & PSI Nitish Khajuria under the leadership of SHO Police Station Miran Sahib Sh. Jaipaul Sharma executed the operation under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura & SP Headquarters, Jammu.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Paramjeet Kumar @ Jungi, S/O Devi Dass, R/O Draptey, Tehsil R.S. Pura and Arjun Kumar @ Billu, S/O Sham Lal, R/O Salehar Kothey, A/P Kalyana Rathana, Tehsil Arnia.
It is pertinent to mention here that both are notorious criminals, known Gangsters of the area and more than 12 FIR's are registered against the Gangster Paramjeet @ Jungi & 06 FIR's are registered against his associate Gangster Arjun Kumar@Billu.
Besides during the search, police recovered one pistol with two live cartridges, one desi katta (.315 caliber) with seven live cartridges, one empty cartridge, and a motorcycle (Chassis No. MBLHAW212PHD83831) from their possession.
The swift action by Jammu Police has dealt a significant blow to criminal elements operating in the region. The accused are being interrogated to uncover their involvement in past crimes and possible links to organized gangs. Further investigations are underway.
