Anantnag, March 16: An elderly man lost his life after being hit by an unknown vehicle in South Kashmir's Anantnag district on Sunday.
An official said that an unidentified vehicle struck a man at Khanabal, Anantnag, causing critical injuries.
He said the victim, identified as Bashir Ahmad Khan, son of Abdul Ahad Khan, a resident of Nandpora, Anantnag, was rushed to GMC Anantnag for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
The vehicle fled the scene, but Anantnag police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation. (JKNS)
