Poonch, March 15: Five people, including four women, sustained injuries after the vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident at Sangla in Mendhar, Poonch district, on Saturday.
Reports reaching Sachnews stated that an Eco vehicle bearing registration number JK11E-7782 met with an accident at Sangla in Mendhar, resulting in injuries to five individuals.
According to Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch, Dr. Parvez Ahmad Khan, the injured were immediately provided medical attention at CHC Mendhar.
Among them, three individuals with critical injuries have been referred to GMC & AH Rajouri for specialized orthopedic consultation and further treatment.
The injured were identified as: Shagufta Parveen (40), Wife of Zaheer Abbas, Resident of Ghambir Mughlan, Rajouri – Lacerated wound on the left side of the forehead, Safeera Begum (60), Wife of Haji Mohammad Azam, Resident of Gulti Manjakote – Blunt trauma to the left side of the chest & scapula, Jamsheed Begum (50), Wife of Mohammad Rafiq, Resident of Ghambir Mughlan – Blunt trauma to the left side of the chest, Mohammad Basharat (65), Son of Mohammad Din, Resident of Guhiti Manjakote – Trauma with vertebral injuries in the lower back, Mukhtoom Akhter (55), Wife of Mohammad Basharat, Resident of Guhiti Manjakote – Blunt trauma to the chest & right shoulder.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the matter and have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
