Sachnews Jammu Kashmir
Kathua, March 24: The anti-terror operation in the forests of Saniyal, Hiranagar sector of Kathua district, has entered its second day, with security forces intensifying operations to eliminate terrorists hiding in the region.
Reports reaching Sachnews said, a joint operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Rising Star Corps continues for the second consecutive day in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district. Security forces have reportedly cornered an estimated four to five terrorists in the Saniyal area.
In response to credible intelligence inputs indicating terrorist presence, UAVs are being deployed to enhance aerial surveillance and support ground operations. The security forces remain on high alert as efforts to neutralize the terrorists are underway.
Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police, Nalin Prabhat, visited Saniyal, Hiranagar, on Sunday to personally oversee the ongoing anti-terrorist operation.
During the encounter, a 7-year-old girl Bihar sustained minor injuries. She is currently receiving medical care at a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
