Weather Update: Farmers Advised to Suspend Operations on March 26-27 as MeT Predicts Rain and Snow in Kashmir

Srinagar, March 24: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather advisory predicting light to moderate rain and snow in North and Central Kashmir on March 26 and 27. In light of the forecast, farmers have been advised to suspend agricultural operations during this period to prevent potential damage to crops.

The advisory also cautions travelers, tourists, and transporters to plan their journeys accordingly and follow instructions from the local administration and traffic authorities. Additionally, the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds has been highlighted, urging residents to remain vigilant.

Forecast Details:

March 24: Generally cloudy towards afternoon with dry weather.
March 25: Possibility of light Rain/Snow (higher reaches) at scattered places mainly over North & Central Kashmir.
March 26-27: A spell of Light to moderate Rain/Snow (higher reaches) at many places (mainly over North & central Kashmir) towards 26th late afternoon to 27th Evening.
March 28-31: The weather is likely to remain generally dry.
April 1-3: Dry conditions are expected to continue.
