Srinagar, March 15: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting intermittent rain and snowfall over higher reaches till March 16, with weather expected to improve thereafter.
Forecast:
🔹 March 15: Light to moderate rain/snow (higher reaches) is expected at most places across the region.
🔹 March 16: A brief spell of light rain/snow may occur at a few places in the morning, followed by significant improvement in weather by the afternoon.
🔹 March 17-25: Generally dry weather is expected, with cloudiness on the evening of March 19.
Advisory:
- Travelers, tourists, and transporters are advised to follow official administration and traffic advisories.
- Farmers are recommended to suspend farm operations until March 16.
- Residents should avoid slopes and avalanche-prone areas.
- Possibility of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones at vulnerable locations.
