Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Awantipora police arrested one drug Peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
During naka checking in area of Police Station Awantipora, police party under the supervision of SHO Police Station Awantipora Insp. Khalid Fayaz arrested one Peddler. During search, officers were able to recover 3.91 grams of brown sugar like substance from his possession. The arrested persons has been identified as Amir Jabbar Lone son of Late Mohd Jabbar Lone, resident of Buhoo Awantipora, police officials said in a press statement issued to Sachnews.
Accordingly, case FIR NO. 78/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
