Budgam, June 27:
Minister for Higher Education, Health, and Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo, on Thursday said that the opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir are frustrated due to being repeatedly rejected by the people and are now unable to acknowledge the positive developments taking place in the region.
Speaking to reporters in Chadoora, Budgam, after laying the foundation stone for a new government degree college worth ₹1.2 crore, the minister as per Sachnews Jammu Kashmir said, "They are frustrated because the public has totally rejected them. In 2002, they had around 28 seats, then dropped to 14, and now they're down to just 2 or 3. Naturally, everything appears negative to them."
She added that despite visible and ongoing development in multiple sectors across Jammu and Kashmir, the opposition remains focused only on criticism.
"They fail to recognize the progress happening here. Whether it's infrastructure, health, education, or any other sector—advancements are being made. But they choose to see everything from a negative lens."
