PAMPORE, April 08:
Three people, including two tourists, were injured in a road accident at Lethpora on NH-44, near the Hatiwara crossing area of Pampore Tehsil in South Kashmir's Pulwama district, on early Monday morning.
According to police officials, the accident occurred around 6:00 AM and involved a collision between a dumper vehicle (registration number JK13F-4989) and an Ignis car (chassis number JK01C 0014TC). As a result, two tourists and the driver of the Ignis vehicle sustained injuries.
The injured were promptly shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Pampore by troops of the 110 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Lethpora, who responded swiftly and used their unit ambulance to provide immediate evacuation.
The injured have been identified as:Javaid Ahmad Pader, son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Mirhama, Kulgam (driver), Iksha Yadav, daughter of Arun Yadav, resident of Nikraj, Uttar Pradesh, Aroon Kumar Yadav, son of F.D. Yadav, resident of Nikraj, Uttar Pradesh
All three injured individuals were later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The Awantipora Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further investigation is underway.
