Schools in Srinagar to Start at 8:30 AM Under New DSEK Order

Srinagar, May 22:
The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced a change in school timings for all Government and recognized Private Schools across the Kashmir Division. The new timings will come into effect from May 26, 2025.

According to the official notification:

Schools within Srinagar Municipal Limits will operate from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Schools outside the Srinagar Municipal Limits and in other areas of the Kashmir Province will function from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

The order has been issued to streamline academic schedules with changing daylight hours and weather conditions. The DSEK has directed all concerned institutions to strictly adhere to the revised timings, adding that any deviation will be viewed seriously.
