Anantnag: BJP National Executive Member, Minister of State, and Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, today addressed a press conference in Anantnag during a special program organized by the BJP to commemorate eleven years of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.
Dr. Andrabi highlighted the achievements of the Modi government over the past eleven years. She shared details of various welfare schemes that have transformed the lives of the poor and marginalized, lifting a large section of the population out of poverty.
"During these eleven years, Modiji corrected the wrongs of previous regimes and ensured India’s growth as a global power through bold and visionary decisions. He established a new system of governance where scams, corruption, and irregularities are no longer the norm," said the BJP leader.
She emphasized that Prime Minister Modi's popularity both within and outside India stems from his performance on the ground and his inclusive approach. "Initiatives like Make in India, Digital India, Skill India, Khelo India, Ayushman Bharat, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have significantly improved living standards, boosted the grassroots economy, and laid strong foundations for a self-reliant Bharat," she said.
Dr. Andrabi also noted that schemes such as Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and UPI have played a crucial role in strengthening the Indian economy. "India now has the highest economic growth rate, making it the fourth-largest economy in the world. We are on track to become the third-largest economy soon," she added.
She further praised the Modi government for maintaining control over inflation despite global economic challenges. "This government has led the country towards innovation and limitless possibilities," she said.
Describing the current era as a "golden period" for India, Dr. Andrabi credited Prime Minister Modi for taking bold decisions like Operation Sindoor, which, according to her, have established India as a decisive and uncompromising global power.
Referring to Jammu and Kashmir, she said the abrogation of its special status marked the beginning of a new era of peace and development. "We are all witnesses to the transformative measures taken by the government in J&K, and we are now reaping the benefits of this change," she said.
She also cited the constitution of the J&K Waqf Board under the Central Act for the first time as a major reform, resulting in unprecedented development and modernization within the Waqf sector.
“Inclusive and visionary development across all sectors has made the lives of common citizens easier and more comfortable. This Amrit Kaal is laying the foundation for a Viksit Bharat,” Dr. Andrabi concluded.
BJP District President Rakesh Koul and other office bearers were also present on the occasion.
